Bottled Thoughts

Yo Yo, What’s going On Good People?

I hope you all had a pretty dope week. My week has been pretty solid so far. The dayjob is cool. We moved part of the team to a new building, so now it's time to get things organized over there. Had to knock out a quick weekend shift to make sure the team is good. Other than that, I spent some time with the family and taking care of my car.

Song on Repeat This Week

キタカゼ (kitakaze) by SIX LOUNGE. This one here is for my anime fans (Specifically My Hero Academia Fans). I’m a sucker for anime songs and this one has been on loop since I’ve been catching up with MHA during my free time/lunch breaks. When it comes to songs that aren’t English, I enjoy looking up the translation. I like to know what message the artist wants to communicate with their audience. The upbeat rock feel as well as the slight harmony & rhythmic change in the hook gives this song a place to stay in my head rent free.

Goal Tracker

Honestly I need to take a day or two off from the job just to record. As much as I’m writing, I need to put a lot of this on wax. Obviously for Work Flow Wednesday, but also for the next 2 projects too.

I plan to run later tonight, so the running goal will be changed next week.

  • 36 out of 365 Verses Made (9%)

  • 2 out of 26 Mini Music Video Released (8%)

  • 1.43 out of 250 miles ran this year (1%)

  • 0 out of 20 songs released (0%)

  • 0 out of 4 features (0%)

  • 0 out of 12 Sparring Sessions (0%)

What’s New

The Winner of the first Monthly Giveaway has been selected and contacted! Thank you again to everyone who entered. If you entered this drawing, just know that you’re good for the rest of the year! Be on the lookout in your emails just in case you win!

I’ve been updating my film equipment (which cost more than I anticipated). I ordered a new set of lighting as well as a better tripod. It was time to upgrade from the Amazon Tripod. I also have been learning about color harmony as well as different video transitions.  I know the goal is to be the best music artist out there, but I’m enjoying creating the vision from the video side as well. It’s been a journey that is aggravating but enjoyable.

I’m gonna introduce a new section called Off Topic (Name Pending). I tend to get off topic and reminisce when I’m writing or talking. It’s to a point where it's a stream of consciousness coming from me. Pure and authentic. That’s what makes me come alive, especially in the night time.

Off Topic (Name Pending)

One thing I’m grateful for is having different outlets or escapes in life. I love to write and perform music. But with the goal to make a living off of this, sometimes shit isn’t sweet. There are days where I don’t want to write a verse, or record a song, or do anything related to music. When I get to that point, I usually hit up my other outlets that I’m learning to be better at. I’ll shadow box and work on my combinations, practice Rocket League, or catch up on anime. So when I go back to the music process, I’m coming from a better mindset. I think it’s good to have an escape from an escape. It keeps everything fresh.

I hope you enjoyed this week’s blog. As always, let me know if there’s anything you want to know.

Until Next Time…
